GOVERNMENT OMNIBUS (FARES) AMENDMENT REGULATIONS 2015

The Minister responsible for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by
section 9 of the Public Transportation Act 1951, makes the following Regulations:

Citation
These Regulations, which amend the Government Omnibus (Fares) Regulations

1952 (“the principal Regulations”), may be cited as the Government Omnibus (Fares)
Amendment Regulations 2015.

Amends regulation 2
Regulation 2 of the principal Regulations is amended by inserting in proper

alphabetical order the following—

“ “adult” means a person who has attained the age of sixteen years;”.

Amends regulation 3
Paragraph (2) of regulation 3 is amended—

in subparagraph (b) by deleting the word “and”;

in subparagraph (c) by deleting the full stop and replacing it with “; and”;
and

by inserting after subparagraph (c) the following—

a special person on production of a special transportation
identification.”.

Revokes and replaces the Schedule
The Schedule to the principal Regulations is revoked and replaced with the

following—

“SCHEDULE

(regulation 4)

FARES

1. Cash (up to 3 Zones)—
(a) Adult $3.50
(b) Child $2.75
Cash (up to 14 Zones)—
(a) Adult $5.00
(b) Child $2.75

2. Tokens (3 Zone)—
(a) Adult $2.75
(b) Child $2.75
Tokens (14 Zone)—
(a) Adult $4.50
(b) Child $2.75
subject to such discount, not exceeding 10%, as the Minister
may from time to time allow to an authorized agent who
purchases 200 tokens or more.

3. Tickets per booklet of 15 tickets—
(a) 3 Zone Tickets
Adult $25.00
Child $9.50
(b) 14 Zone Tickets
Adult $37.50
Child $9.50

4. Persons under 5 years of age Free
5. Special persons on production of a special transportation

identification Free
6. Students if student pass produced Free
7. Persons holding passes—

(a) Monthly Pass $69.00
(b) Quarterly $169.00
(c) Persons holding multi-day passes—
(i) Travel for 1 day
Adult $19.00
Child $9.50

Commencement
These Regulations shall come into force on 1 April 2015.
