CIVIL AIRPORTS (LANDING FEES) REGULATIONS 2006


The Minister of Tourism and Transport, in exercise of the powers
conferred by section 6(2)(k) of the Civil Airports Act 1949, makes the
following regulations:

Short title
1 These Regulations may be cited as the Civil Airports (Landing
Fees) Regulations 2006.

Interpretation
2 In these Regulations —

"gross weight of aircraft" means the maximum take-off weight
authorized by the current certificate of airworthiness issued
in respect of an aircraft by the State in which that aircraft is
registered;

"landing fees" means the fees payable in respect of an aircraft
which lands at the Bermuda International Airport;

“signatory airline” means a scheduled airline which has
concluded a formal agreement with the Department of Airport
Operations to operate at the Bermuda International Airport.

Landing fees
3 The landing fees payable in respect of an aircraft which lands at
Bermuda International Airport shall be―

(a) an aircraft of a $3.25 per 1000 pounds gross

signatory airline weight of aircraft;

(b) an aircraft of a non-
signatory airline

$6.00 per 1000 pounds gross
weight of aircraft.

Revocation
4 The Civil Airports (Landing Fees) Regulations 1996 are revoked.

Commencement
5 These Regulations shall come into force on 1 January 2006.
