THE PENSIONS (PUBLIC SERVICE SUPERANNUATION ACT
1981) (INCREASE) ORDER 2004

The Public Service Superannuation Board, in exercise of the
powers conferred upon it by section 2(2) of the Pensions (Increase) Act
1972 as applied by section 3(4) of the Public Service Superannuation Act
1981, makes the following Order:

Citation
1 This Order may be cited as the Pensions (Public Service
Superannuation Act 1981) (Increase) Order 2004.

Increase of rates of pensions
2 The annual rate of pensions payable under the provisions of the
Public Service Superannuation Act 1981 shall, with effect from 1 July
2004, be increased as follows

(a) the rate of pensions beginning on or before 30 June
2002 shall be increased by 7 per cent;

(b) the rate of pensions beginning in the half year period
ending on 31 December 2002 shall be increased by 6 per
cent;

(c) the rate of pensions beginning in the half year period
ending on 30 June 2003 shall be increased by 4½ per
cent;

(d) the rate of pensions beginning in the half year period
ending on 31 December 2003 shall be increased by 3 per
cent;

(e) the rate of pensions beginning in the half year period
ending on 30 June 2004 shall be increased by 1 per
cent.
