MISCELLANEOUS TAXES (RATES) AMENDMENT ACT 2001

WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the Miscellaneous Taxes
(Rates) Act 1980:

Be it enacted by The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and
with the advice and consent of the Senate and the House of Assembly of
Bermuda, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Citation and commencement
1 This Act may be cited as the Miscellaneous Taxes (Rates)
Amendment Act 2001 and shall come into operation on 1 April 2001.

Amends Act No. 13 of 1980
2 The Miscellaneous Taxes (Rates) Act 1980 is amended—

(a) in section 9A (passenger cabin tax)

(i) in subsection (1)(a), by deleting "$12" and
substituting "$14"; and

(ii) in subsections (1)(b) and (1)(c), by deleting "$8" and
substituting "$10"; and

(b) in section 9B (passenger departure tax), in subsection
(1), by deleting "$20" and substituting "$25".
