The Minister in exercise of the power conferred upon him by
sections 121(7) and 131(7) of the Companies Act 1981, makes the
following Order:

Citation and commencement
1 This Order which amends the Fifth Schedule to the Companies
Act 1981 may be cited as the Companies Act 1981 (Fifth Schedule)
Amendment Order 2000 and shall come into operation on 1 April 2000.

Amends Part I of the Fifth Schedule to the Companies Act 1981
2 Part I of the Fifth Schedule to the Companies Act 1981 is
amended —

(a) in paragraph 1, by deleting the words "two thousand
four hundred and seventy" and substituting the words
"two thousand five hundred and ninety-five";

(b) in paragraph 2, by deleting the figures under the
heading "Tax payable", appearing opposite each of the
items numbered (i) to (vii) and substituting therefor
respectively the following figures—

"$ 580
$ 865
$ 1,445
$ 2,880
$ 5,760
$10,975
$16,460"; and

(c) in the sentence beginning with "In the case of a local
company" and ending with "$15,675" by deleting the
figure "$15,675" and substituting the figure "$16,460".

Amends Part II of the Fifth Schedule to the Companies Act 1981
3 Part II of the Fifth Schedule to the Companies Act 1981 is
amended—

(a) in paragraph 1 A EXEMPTED COMPANIES—

(i) by deleting all the figures in sub-paragraph (a)
under the heading "Fee" appearing opposite the
items numbered (i) to (vii) and substituting
therefor respectively the following figures—

$27,825"; and

(ii) by deleting all the figures under the heading
"Fee" appearing opposite the items in sub-
paragraphs (b), (bb)(i), (ii) and (iii) and (c)(i), (ii),
(iii), (iv) and (v) and substituting therefor
respectively the following figures—
