PENSIONS) ACT 1998 & AMENDMENT ACT 1999

COMMENCEMENT DAY NOTICE 1999

The Minister of Finance, in exercise of the power conferred upon
him by section 1 of the National Pension Scheme (Occupational
Pensions) Act 1998 and section 1 of the National Pension Scheme
(Occupational Pensions) Amendment Act 1999, gives the following
Notice:—

Citation
1 This Notice may be cited as the National Pension Scheme
(Occupational Pensions) Act 1998 & Amendment Act 1999
Commencement Day Notice 1999.

Commencement
2 The 1st day of January 2000 is appointed as the day on which—

(a) all those provisions of the National Pension Scheme
(Occupational Pensions) Act 1998 which were not
brought into force on the 17th May 1999 by the National
Pensions Scheme (Occupational Pensions) Act 1998
Commencement Day Notice 1999; and

NATIONAL PENSIONS SCHEME (OCCUPATIONAL PENSIONS)

(b) the National Pension Scheme (Occupational Pensions)
Amendment Act 1999,

shall come into operation.
