THE GOVERNMENT FEES AMENDMENT REGULATIONS 1999

The Minister of Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred upon
him by section 2(1) of the Government Fees Act 1965 and every other
power vested in him, makes the following Regulations:

Citation
1 These Regulations may be cited as the Government Fees
Amendment Regulations 1999.

Amends Head 11 of the Schedule to S.R. & O. 24/1976
2 Head 11 of the Schedule to the Government Fees Regulations
1976 is amended as follows:

"(a) in paragraph (1), by deleting the words "for consent";

(b) in paragraph (3), by deleting the words "for consent";

(c) in paragraph (31), by deleting the words "for consent
under section 132C(2)" and substituting the words "for
continuance under section 132C(1)";

(d) by repealing paragraph (32); and

(e) by deleting from paragraph (33) the words "Applying for
consent under section 132G(1)" and substituting the
words "Filing a notice of discontinuance under section
132H(1)".

Inserts new Head in the Schedule to S.R. & O. 24/1976
3 The Schedule to the Government Fees Regulations 1976 is
amended by inserting next after Head 25 the following new Head:

"HEAD 25A

Investment Business Act 1998

Granting a licence to an investment
provider under section 10(1)(a) or (b) $1,000".

Commencement and transitional
4 (1) Subject to paragraph (2), these Regulations commence on 1
April 1999 ("commencement day").

(2) Nothing in these Regulations affects the validity or effect of
a fee that was paid

(a) before the commencement day; and

(b) in respect of a period that was still running on that day.
