FORESHORE LICENCES REPEAL ACT 1999

[Operative Date 1 July 2000]

WHEREAS it is expedient to repeal the Foreshore Licences Act
1945 and to make consequential provision:

Be it enacted by The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and
with the advice and consent of the Senate and the House of Assembly of
Bermuda, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Short title and commencement
1 This Act may be cited as the Foreshore Licences Repeal Act
1999, and shall come into operation on such day as the Minister
responsible for planning may appoint by notice published in the Gazette.

Repeal of Foreshore Licences Act 1945 and consequential repeals
2 (1) The Foreshore Licences Act 1945 is hereby repealed.

(2) In consequence of the repeal of the Foreshore Licences Act
1945, the following enactments are hereby repealed—

(a) in section 2 of the Paget Parish Waterlot Act 1954, the
words "or the Foreshore Licences Act 1945";

(b) in section 7 of the Land Reclamation Act 1964, the
words "the Foreshore Licences Act 1945";

(c) section 23(b)(i) of the Department of Works and
Engineering Act 1984; and

(d) Part V of the Development and Planning (Application
Procedure) Rules 1997.
