THE HOUSING ALLOWANCE (MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE RENT)
ORDER 1998

The Minister in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by
section 7(2) of the Housing Allowance Act 1988 makes the following
Order:

Citation and commencement
1 This Order may be cited as the Housing Allowance (Maximum
Allowable Rent) Order 1998 and shall come into operation on 1 April
1998.

Maximum allowable rent
2 The maximum allowable rent is specified as follows:

Studio $750

One bedroom $890

Two bedrooms $1,310

Three bedrooms $1,600
