HOSPITAL INSURANCE (HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN)
(ADDITIONAL BENEFITS) AMENDMENT ORDER 1998

The Minister, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by
section 13 of the Hospital Insurance Act 1970 makes the following Order:


Citation and commencement
1 This Order which amends the Hospital Insurance (Health
Insurance Plan) (Additional Benefits) Order 1988 may be cited as the
Hospital Insurance (Health Insurance Plan) (Additional Benefits)
Amendment Order 1998, and shall come into operation on 1 April 1998.

Amendment
2 The Schedule to the Hospital Insurance (Health Insurance Plan)
(Additional Benefits) Order 1988 is rescinded and the following
substituted—

(ADDITIONAL BENEFITS) AMENDMENT ORDER 1998

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS COVERED BY HEALTH

INSURANCE PLAN

1. Medical pre-admission office visit:
to a maximum of 4 units.

2. Medical Care: )
to a maximum of 30 units. )

3. Surgery: )
to a maximum of 90 units. )

In
hospital

4. Anaesthetist: )
to a maximum of 30 units. )

5. Medical Home visits:
to a maximum of 4 visits per month.

6. Treatment in a doctor's office, as approved
by the Hospital Insurance Commission,
to a maximum of 90 units.".
