HOSPITAL INSURANCE (DEDUCTIONS) AMENDMENT
REGULATIONS 1997

[made under section 40 of the Hospital Insurance Act 1970 [title 18 item 9]
and brought into operation on 1 April 1997]

Citation and commencement
1 These Regulations which amend the Hospital Insurance
(Deductions) Regulations 1971 may be cited as the Hospital Insurance
(Deductions) Amendment Regulations 1997 and shall come into
operation on 1 April 1997.

Amendments
2 The Hospital Insurance (Deductions) Regulations 1971 are
amended as follows:

(a) in regulation (2)(1)(a), for the symbols and figure
"$8.75¢" substitute the symbols and figure "$9.27¢";

(b) in regulation 2(1)(b), for the symbols and figure
"$37.90¢" substitute the symbols and figure "$40.15¢";
and

(c) in regulation 3(1), for the symbols and figure "$8.75¢"
substitute the symbols and figure "$9.27¢".
