GOVERNMENT OMNIBUS AMENDMENT REGULATIONS 1997

[made under section 9 of the Public Transportation Board Act 1951 [title 21
item 1] and brought into operation on 1 April 1997]

Citation and commencement
1 These Regulations which amend the Government Omnibus
Regulations 1952 (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Regulations")
may be cited as the Government Omnibus Amendment Regulations 1997
and shall come into operation on 1 April 1997.

Amends regulation 2
2 Regulation 2 of the principal Regulations 1952 is amended—

(a) in the definition of the expression "child", by deleting the
words "three" and "thirteen" and substituting therefor
respectively the words "five" and "sixteen"; and

(b) by deleting the definition of the expression "special
transportation ticket"; and

(c) in paragraph (2), by deleting sub-paragraph (e) and
substituting the following—

"(e)exhibit to the driver a special transportation
identification.".

GOVERNMENT OMNIBUS AMENDMENT REGULATIONS 1997

Amends regulation 4 of principal Regulations
3 Regulation 4 of the principal Regulations is amended in
paragraph (1)—

(a) in sub-paragraphs (a) and (b), by deleting the words "or
special transportation ticket"; and

(b) in sub-paragraph (c), by deleting the words "special
transportation ticket".

Amends regulations 5, 6 and 7 of principal Regulations
4 Regulations 5, 6 and 7 of the principal Regulations are amended
by deleting the words "special transportation ticket" wherever they
appear in those regulations.
