AUXILIARY BICYCLES AMENDMENT ACT 1997

WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the Auxiliary Bicycles Act
1954:

Be it enacted by The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and
with the advice and consent of the Senate and the House of Assembly of
Bermuda, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Short title
1 This Act which amends the Auxiliary Bicycles Act 1954 may be
cited as the Auxiliary Bicycles Amendment Act 1997.

Amends section 17 of the Auxiliary Bicycles Act 1954
2 Section 17 of the Auxiliary Bicycles Act 1954 is amended by
deleting subsection (2) and substituting the following—

" (2) No person—

(a) shall use or cause or allow any other person to
use an auxiliary bicycle on the roads of
Bermuda; or

(b) shall keep or cause or allow any other person to
keep an auxiliary bicycle in a public place,

unless an auxiliary bicycle licence has been issued by the
Minister and is in force in respect of that auxiliary bicycle.".
