MARINE BOARD (SAFETY) (EXEMPTION) NOTICE 1996

The Minister in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by
regulation 11 of the Marine Board (Safety) Regulations 1993 gives the
following Notice:

Citation
1 This Notice may be cited as the Marine Board (Safety)
(Exemption) Notice 1996.

Non-application
2 (1) Regulations 5(1)(a) and 6(1)(a) of the Marine Board (Safety)
Regulations 1993 shall not apply to a boat of less than 40 feet operated
under the auspices of the Triangle Swim Club—

(a) for the purpose of ferrying swimmers participating in the
Trunk Island Swim;

(b) in Harrington Sound between Palmetto Bay Hotel and
Trunk Island; and

(c) on 11 August 1996 between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and
4:00 p.m.

(2) In the event of inclement weather on 11 August 1996, the
provisions of paragraph (1) shall have effect on 18 August 1996.
