HOSPITAL INSURANCE (MENTAL ILLNESS, ALCOHOL AND
DRUG ABUSE) AMENDMENT REGULATIONS 1996

The Minister in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by
section 40(1)(a) of the Hospital Insurance Act 1970 makes the following
Regulations:

Citation and commencement
1 These Regulations which amend the Hospital Insurance (Mental
Illness, Alcohol and Drug Abuse) Regulations 1973, may be cited as the
Hospital Insurance (Mental Illness, Alcohol and Drug Abuse) Amendment
Regulations 1996 and shall come into operation 1 April 1996.

Amendment
2 Regulation 2 of the Hospital Insurance (Mental Illness, Alcohol
and Drug Abuse) Regulations 1973 is amended in paragraph (a) by
deleting the figure "30" and substituting the figure "40".
