MOTOR CAR AMENDMENT (NO. 4) ACT 1995

WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Motor Car Act
1951:

Be it enacted by The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and
with the advice and consent of the Senate and the House of Assembly of
Bermuda, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Citation
1 This Act which amends the Motor Car Act 1951 may be cited as
the Motor Car Amendment (No. 4) Act 1995.

Amends section 10 of Motor Act 1951
2 Section 10 of the Motor Car Act 1951 is amended—

(a) in subsection (1)(b), by deleting the full stop at the end of
sub-paragraph (ii) and substituting the words "; and";

(b) by inserting next after sub-paragraph (ii) the following—

"(iii) a purpose-built motor taxi."; and

(c) by inserting next after subsection (6) the following—

"(7) in this section "purpose-built motor taxi"
means a motor taxi—

(a) which is constructed or adapted by the
manufacturer to accommodate a
wheelchair; and

(b) the length of which does not exceed 200
inches, the width of which does not
exceed 75 inches and the engine
capacity of which does not exceed 3800
cubic centimetres.".
