MARINE BOARD AMENDMENT ACT 1993

WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the Marine Board Act, 1962:

Be it enacted by The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and
with the advice and consent of the Senate and the House of Assembly of
Bermuda, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Short title
1 This Act which amends the Marine Board Act, 1962 may be cited
as the Marine Board Amendment Act 1993.

Amendments
2 The Marine Board Act 1962 is amended by repealing and
replacing section 3 with the following:

"Application of Act to Crown
3 (1) Subject to sections 48 and 87 and this section, the
provisions of this Act shall apply to ships, vessels, boats and
persons in the public service of the Crown.

(2) In relation to ships, vessels and boats used for
naval or military purposes or used by the police or the Fire
Services, the provisions of this Act shall not apply.

(3) Where an offence under this Act is alleged to have
been committed in connection with a ship, vessel or boat in the
public service of the Crown, proceedings may be brought in

respect of the offence against any person actually responsible for
the offence.".
