1. This Order may be cited as the

TOWNS PROPERTY FEE (VALUATION OFFICER) (APPOINTMENT) ORDER.

2. In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 2 of the Towns Property Evaluation Act, Chapter 65 of the Substantive Laws of Belize, Revised Edition 2000-2003 and all other powers thereunto me enabling, I, VALDEMAR CASTILLO, Minister of Local Government, do hereby appoint the Commissioner of Lands and Surveys for the time being holding office as a valuation officer for the purpose of the said Act.

CHAPTER 65

BELIZE CITY COUNCIL (PROPERTY FEE) ORDER (Section 18)

[9th March, 2002.]

1. This Order may be cited as the

BELIZE CITY COUNCIL (PROPERTY FEE) ORDER.

2. The following rates are to be levied and collected for the financial year beginning 1st April, 2002.

1. For the City of Belize:-

A. In respect of unoccupied property of a value of three hundred dollars and above, 1.5% of the value thereof;

B. In respect of unoccupied property of a value of less than three hundred dollars the sum of one dollar;

C. In respect of occupied property of the annual value of thirty-five dollars and above, 5% of the annual value thereof;

D. In respect of occupied property of an annual value of less than thirty-five dollars, 3% of the annual value thereof:-

Providing, however, that the sum of one dollar shall be the minimum rate payable in respect of any property or holding of real property.

2. For Caye Caulker:-

A. In respect of unoccupied property of the value of three hundred dollars and over, one per centum of the value thereof;

B. In respect of unoccupied property of a value less than three hundred dollars, the sum of one dollar;

C. In respect of occupied property an annual value in excess of thirty-five dollars, four per centum of the annual value thereof;

D. In respect of occupied property of an annual value less than thirty-five dollars three per centum of the annual value thereof;

Providing, however, that the sum of one dollar shall be the minimum rate payable in respect of any property or holding of real property.

3. For St. George’s Caye:-

A. In respect of unoccupied property of the value of three hundred dollars and over, one per centum of the value thereof;

B. In respect of unoccupied property of a value less than three hundred dollars, the sum of one dollar;

C. In respect of occupied property of an annual value in excess of thirty-five dollars, six per centum of

the annual value thereof;

D. In respect of occupied property of an annual value less than thirty-five dollars, three per centum of the annual value thereof;

2. The Property fee in respect of any property within the City of Belmopan shall be two per centum of the site value of such property.

1. This Order maybe cited as the

BENQUE VIEJO TOWN COUNCIL (PROPERTY EVALUATION FEE) ORDER.

2. The Property Evaluation fee for Benque Viejo Town shall be as follows:-

(a) in respect of unoccupied property of a value of three hundred dollars and above, 1% of the value thereof;

(b) in respect of unoccupied property of a value of less than three hundred dollars, the sum of one dollar;

(c) in respect of occupied property of an annual value of thirty-five dollars and above, 4% of the annual value thereof;

(a) in respect of unoccupied property of a value of one thousand two hundred dollars and above, 2% of the value thereof;

(c) in respect of occupied property of an annual value of thirty-five dollars and above, 6% of the annual value thereof;

(d) in respect of occupied property of an annual value of less than thirty-five dollars, 3 % of the annual value thereof;

(a) in respect of unoccupied property of a value of three hundred dollars and above, 2% of the value thereof;

(b) in respect of unoccupied property of a value of less than three hundred dollars, the sum of one dollar;

(c) in respect of occupied property of an annual value of thirty-five dollars and above, 5.5% of the annual value thereof;

(d) in respect of occupied property of an annual value of less than thirty-five dollars, 3% of the annual value thereof;
