1. This Order may be cited as the

UNIVERSITY OF BELIZE ACT (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER.

2. In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 35 of the University of Belize Act and all other powers thereunto me enabling, I, CORDEL HYDE, Minister responsible for Education, do hereby appoint the 1st day of August, 2000, as the day on which the said Act shall be deemed to have come into force.
