CHAPTER 34
BELIZE SCHOLARSHIP
[28th October, 1944]
1. This Act may be cited as the Belize Scholarship Act.
2. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires, “Minister” means the Minister responsible for Education.
3. There shall be established a Scholarship to be known as the Belize Scholarship, hereinafter called “the Scholarship”.

4. The Scholarship shall be open to competition in the year 1944 and in every year thereafter.
5. The cost of each Scholarship shall be defrayed from the Consolidated Revenue Fund.
6.-(1) The Minister may by regulation prescribe the conditions of award, ten- ure and forfeiture of the Scholarship and the conditions to be observed by a person to whom the Scholarship is awarded.
(2) Regulations made under this section shall be subject to negative resolution.
