1. This Act may be cited as the Law Officers Act.

2.-(1)Any duty which devolves on the Attorney-General by virtue of his office in relation to any civil proceedings or matter may by his direction be discharged by any person holding any office designated in Part I of the Schedule.

(2) Any duty which devolves on the Director of Public Prosecu- tions by virtue of his office in relation to any criminal proceedings or matter may by his direction be discharged by any person holding any office desig- nated in Part II of the Schedule.

3. A notice published in the Gazette to the effect that a person has been appointed to or holds any of the offices in the Schedule, or has relinquished or no longer holds any of the said offices, shall be sufficient proof of the facts therein stated.

4. The Governor-General may by notice published in the Gazette alter the designation of any of the offices in the Schedule, or add any other office to the said Schedule, or remove therefrom any office designated therein.
