1              Name of Determination                 This Determination is the Child Care Benefit (Eligibility of Child Care Services for Approval and Continued Approval) Amendment Determination 2005 (No. 1). 2              Commencement                 This Determination commences on the day after it is registered. 3              Amendment of Child Care Benefit (Eligibility of Child Care Services for Approval and Continued Approval) Determination 2000                 Schedule 1 amends the Child Care Benefit (Eligibility of Child Care Services for Approval and Continued Approval) Determination 2000.

Schedule 1        Amendments (section 3)    [1]           Subsection 3 (1), definition of OSHCQA substitute OSHCQA means the Outside School Hours Care Quality Assurance system administered by the Council for outside school hours care services. [2]           Paragraph 23 (a) substitute                 (a)    participate in the QIAS in accordance with any quality improvement and accreditation requirements contained in the following documents, published by the Council and as in force at the commencement of the Child Care Benefit (Eligibility of Child Care Services for Approval and Continued Approval) Amendment Determination 2005 (No. 1):                           (i)    ‘Quality Improvement and Accreditation System Source Book’, 1st edition, 2001;                          (ii)    ‘Quality Improvement and Accreditation System Handbook’, 2nd edition, 2001;                          (iii)    ‘Quality Improvement and Accreditation System Self-study Report’, 2nd edition, 2001; and Note   Information about these documents is available at the Council’s website at www.ncac.gov.au. [3]           Paragraph 23A (a) substitute                 (a)    participate in the FDC QA in accordance with any quality assurance requirements contained in the following documents, published by the Council and as in force at the commencement of the Child Care Benefit (Eligibility of Child Care Services for Approval and Continued Approval) Amendment Determination 2005 (No. 1):                           (i)    ‘Family Day Care Quality Assurance Quality Practices Guide’, 2nd edition, 2004;                          (ii)    ‘Family Day Care Quality Assurance Handbook’, 2nd edition, 2004;                          (iii)    ‘Family Day Care Quality Assurance Self-study Report’, 2nd edition, 2004; and Note   Information about these documents is available at the Council’s website at www.ncac.gov.au. [4]           Paragraph 23B (2) (b) substitute                (b)    participate in the FDC QA in accordance with any quality assurance requirements contained in the documents mentioned in paragraph 23A (a); and [5]           Paragraph 24A (2) (a) substitute                 (a)    participate in the OSHCQA in accordance with any quality assurance requirements contained in the following documents, published by the Council and as in force at the commencement of the Child Care Benefit (Eligibility of Child Care Services for Approval and Continued Approval) Amendment Determination 2005 (No. 1):                           (i)    ‘Outside School Hours Care Quality Assurance Quality Practices Guide’, 1st edition, 2003;                          (ii)    ‘Outside School Hours Care Quality Assurance Handbook’, 1st edition, 2003;                          (iii)    ‘Outside School Hours Care Quality Assurance Self-study Report’, 1st edition, 2003; and Note   Information about these documents is available at the Council’s website at www.ncac.gov.au. [6]           Paragraph 24B (2) (b) substitute                (b)    participate in the OSHCQA in accordance with any quality assurance requirements contained in the documents mentioned in paragraph 24A (2) (a); and
