Determination 2005/04:
Remuneration and Allowances for Holders of Public Office
(i)
Pursuant to subsections 7(3) and 7(4) of the Remuneration Tribunal Act 1973, the Remuneration Tribunal has inquired into the remuneration and allowances to be paid to various public office holders, and other matters significantly related thereto, and determines as set out below.
(ii)
This Determination takes effect on and from the day following the day it is registered in the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments except where otherwise specified.
PART 1 – PART-TIME OFFICES
1.1
In this part Determination Number 12 of 2004 (as amended) is referred to as the Principal Determination.
1.2
Column 4 of Table A1A of the Principal Determination is amended by omitting the figure ‘16,910’ and substituting the figure ‘25,430’ against the entry for Food Standards Australia New Zealand.
1.3
Column 4 of Table A1A of the Principal Determination is amended by omitting the figure ‘394’ and substituting the figure ‘503’ against the entry for National Childcare Accreditation Council.
1.4
Table A1A of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting the following entries at the end of the table.

Table A1A of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting footnote 45, attached to the entry for ‘Australian National Council on Drugs’. Footnote 45 reads: 45 ANCD: A member who is appointed as a Deputy Chairman will receive $550 per diem, with Tier 2 travel.
1.6
The entries in Clauses 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4, other than in respect of the Australian National Council on Drugs, take effect on and from 31 March 2005.
1.7
The entries in Clause 1.4 for the Australian National Council on Drugs, and clause 1.5, take effect on and from 10 February 2005.
PART 2 – FULL-TIME OFFICES
2.1
In this part Determination Number 13 of 2004 (as amended) is referred to as the Principal Determination.
2.2
Table 2A of the Principal Determination is amended by omitting the entry in Column 1 for ‘Director of Safeguards’ and substituting an entry for ‘Director General, Australian Safeguards and Non-Proliferation Office’. The associated entries in Columns 2 to 6 inclusive remain unchanged.
