  AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive (AD) AD/SC7/13 Amdt 3 and issues the following AD under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998.  The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

Applicability:
All Model SC7 series aircraft, except serial numbers SH 1845, SH 1847, SH 1883, SH 1889, SH 1943, and SH 1960.
Requirement:
Action in accordance with Shorts Mandatory Service Bulletin 51-51 Revision 7. Note:  UK CAA AD 0434 Pre 80 refers.
Compliance:
As specified in the Requirement document.
 
This Amendment becomes effective on 12 May 2005.
Background:
This Directive requires certain actions to extend the aircraft service life. Amendment 4 is issued in response to the latest revision of the Requirement document, which changes applicability and clarifies actions required on accomplishment of SB 57-59 re. “Special Inspections” additional actions.
