1              Name of Regulations                 These Regulations are the Privacy (Private Sector) Amendment Regulations 2006 (No. 1). 2              Commencement                 These Regulations commence on the day after they are registered. 3              Amendment of Privacy (Private Sector) Regulations 2001                 Schedule 1 amends the Privacy (Private Sector) Regulations 2001.

9              Exceptions to National Privacy Principle 7.2 — Centrelink Confirmation eServices (Customer Confirmation) [3]           Regulation 9 omit everything before paragraph (a), insert Centrelink Customer Reference Number          (1)   For paragraph 7.2 (c) of the National Privacy Principles: [4]           Paragraph 9 (a) omit specified in Schedule 3 insert mentioned in Part 1 of Schedule 3 [5]           Paragraph 9 (c) omit prescribed organisation, insert prescribed organisation mentioned in Part 1 of Schedule 3, [6]           Regulation 9 insert DVA File Number          (2)   For paragraph 7.2 (c) of the National Privacy Principles:                 (a)    an organisation mentioned in Part 2 of Schedule 3 is a prescribed organisation; and                (b)    a DVA File Number is a prescribed identifier; and                 (c)    the prescribed circumstance is that a DVA File Number is used or disclosed by a prescribed organisation mentioned in Part 2 of Schedule 3, with the consent of the individual concerned, to access Centrelink Confirmation eServices for the purpose of making a Customer Confirmation enquiry to determine whether the individual is entitled to receive a concession.
