I, PHILIP MICHAEL JEFFERY, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Primary Industries (Excise) Levies Act 1999. 1              Name of Regulations                 These Regulations are the Primary Industries (Excise) Levies Amendment Regulations 2006 (No. 2). 2              Commencement                 These Regulations commence on 1 July 2006. 3              Amendment of Primary Industries (Excise) Levies Regulations 1999                 Schedule 1 amends the Primary Industries (Excise) Levies Regulations 1999.

Schedule 1        Amendments (regulation 3)    [1]           Schedule 14, clause 1 substitute 1              Rate of levy — research and development component on sale of honey                 For paragraph 4 (1) (b) of Schedule 14 to the Excise Levies Act, the rate of levy is:                 (a)    from 1 July 2006 to 30 June 2009 — 1.2 cents per kilogram of honey; and                (b)    from 1 July 2009 — 1.5 cents per kilogram of honey. [2]           Schedule 14, clause 2, except the note substitute 2              Rate of levy — research and development component on honey used in the production of other goods                 For paragraph 4 (2) (b) of Schedule 14 to the Excise Levies Act, the rate of levy is:                 (a)    from 1 July 2006 to 30 June 2009 — 1.2 cents per kilogram of honey; and                (b)    from 1 July 2009 — 1.5 cents per kilogram of honey.
