I, PHILIP MICHAEL JEFFERY, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Occupational Health and Safety (Commonwealth Employment) Act 1991.

1              Name of Regulations
                These Regulations are the Occupational Health and Safety (Commonwealth Employment) (National Standards) Amendment Regulations 2006 (No. 1).
2              Commencement
                These Regulations commence on 24 April 2006.
3              Amendment of Occupational Health and Safety (Commonwealth Employment) (National Standards) Regulations 1994
                Schedule 1 amends the Occupational Health and Safety (Commonwealth Employment) (National Standards) Regulations 1994.

Guidance on the preparation and use of a MSDS can be obtained from the National Code of Practice for the Control of Workplace Hazardous Substances [NOHSC:2007 (1994)] and the National Code of Practice for the Preparation of Material Safety Data Sheets [NOHSC:2011 (1994)].

6.08        Ingredient disclosure: MSDS and labels
                A manufacturer of a hazardous substance must disclose ingredients and prepare labels that relate to hazardous substances in accordance with the National Code of Practice for the Preparation of Material Safety Data Sheets [NOHSC:2011 (2003)].
