Part 1 Preliminary
1 Name of instrument
This determination is the Social Security (Personal Care Support –Direct Payments Project) (FaCSIA) Determination 2007.
2 Commencement
This determination commences on the day after its registration on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments.
3 Definitions
In this determination:
Act means the Social Security Act 1991.
Direct Payments Project is the project, known by that name, and which:
(a) is administered by the Victorian Department of Human Services; and
(b) is part of the ‘Support and Care Initiative’ which has adopted the principles of Individualised Planning and Support.

4 Personal Care Support Determination
(1) The Direct Payments Project is an approved scheme for the purposes of the Act.
[1] This determination has effect in relation to provisions of the Social Security Act 1991 in so far as they relate to matters for which the Minister for Families, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs has responsibility under the Administrative Arrangements Order.
