Amendment No. 4 to the Other Grants Guidelines 2006
 
 
Noting that the current version of the Other Grants Guidelines was made by me on 10 November 2006 and came into effect on 23 November 2006 (the "Current Guidelines"),
 
 
I, JULIE BISHOP, Minister for Education, Science and Training, under section 238‑10 of the Higher Education Support Act 2003 make the guidelines appearing in the Annexure to this Instrument, and which replace chapter 10 of the Current Guidelines.

Higher Education Support Act 2003 - Other Grants Guidelines 2006
1              CITATION
These Guidelines may be cited as Amendment No. 4 to the Other Grants Guidelines 2006.
2              AUTHORITY
These Guidelines are made under section 238‑10 of the Higher Education Support Act 2003 for the purposes of Part 2‑3 of the Act.
3              DATE OF EFFECT
These Guidelines take effect on the day after the day on which they are registered on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments.
4              AMENDMENT
These Guidelines amend the Higher Education Support Act 2003 - Other Grants Guidelines 2006 registered on 22 November 2006 (see F2006L03785) and which commenced on 23 November 2006.
 
 
AMENDMENTS
 
Item 1
 
Delete Chapter 10 and replace with the following:
 
 
CHAPTER 10        GRANTS TO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF SYSTEMIC INFRASTRUCTURE USED BY HIGHER EDUCATION PROVIDERS
 
10.1            Purpose
 
10.1.1        The purpose of this chapter is to specify under subsection 41-15(1) of the Act:
 
(a)     the Implementation Assistance Programme as a programme under which grants to support the development of systemic infrastructure used by eligible higher education providers may be paid and to specify bodies corporate eligible for grants pursuant to item 10 of the table in subsection 41-10(1) of the Act; and
 
(b)     the Australian Scheme for Higher Education Repositories as a programme under which grants to support the development of systemic infrastructure used by eligible higher education providers may be paid and to specify bodies corporate eligible for grants pursuant to item 10 of the table in subsection 41-10(1) of the Act.
 
IMPLEMENTATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAMME AND AUSTRALIAN SCHEME FOR HIGHER EDUCATION REPOSITORIES
10.5            Programmes under which grants may be paid
 
10.5.1         Under subsection 41-15(1) of the Act, grants may be paid under the following programmes for the purpose specified in item 10 of the table in subsection 41-10(1) of the Act:
 
(a)          The Implementation Assistance Programme; and
(b)          The Australian Scheme for Higher Education Repositories.
 
 
10.10                   Bodies corporate eligible for grants
 
10.10.1       Pursuant to item 10 of the table in subsection 41-10(1) of the Act, the following bodies corporate are eligible for grants under the programmes specified in paragraph 10.5.1 of these Guidelines:
 
(a)     Bond University Limited;
(b)     The University of Notre Dame Australia; and
(c)     Melbourne College of Divinity.
