I, CHRISTOPHER PYNE, Minister for Ageing, make this Determination under subsection 8 (7) and (8) of the Australian Hearing Services Act 1991.

1              Name of Determination
                This Determination is the Declared Hearing Services Amendment Determination 2007 (No 1).
2              Commencement
                This Determination commences on 1 July 2007.
3              Amendment of Declared Hearing Services Determination 1997
                Schedule 1 amends the Declared Hearing Services Determination 1997.
Schedule 1        Amendments
(section 12)
  
[1]           Paragraph 12(d)(iv)
substitute
(iv)                     an eligible person; or
(v)                      a person who:
A.            was a participant in the CDEP program at any time between 1 December 2005 and 30 June 2007; and
B.            is no longer a participant in the CDEP Program.
[2]           New section 12A
After section 12 insert:
 
12A             Persons no longer designated persons         
A person referred to in paragraph 12(d)(v) above will cease to be a designated person from 1 July 2012.
