1              Name of instrument
                This determination is the Social Security (Personal Care Support – NSW Attendant Care Program Direct Funding Model) (FaHCSIA) Determination 2008.
2              Commencement
                This determination commences on 25 August 2008.
3              Interpretation
                In this determination:
 
Act means the Social Security Act 1991.
 
NSW Attendant Care Program Direct Funding Model is the scheme known as the Attendant Care Program Direct Funding Model, and which:
(a)   is administered by the New South Wales Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care; and
(b)   is for the provision of personal care support.
 
 4             Determination of a scheme
The NSW Attendant Care Program Direct Funding Model is an approved scheme for the purposes of paragraph 8(8)(zi) the Act.
 
Note: Paragraph 8(8)(zi) provides that a payment towards the cost of personal care support services for the person, being a payment made under a scheme approved under section 35A, is not income for the purposes of the Act.
