1              Name of Determination
                This Determination is the Water and Sewerage Services Fees Determination 2008.
2              Commencement
                This Determination commences on 1 September 2008.
3              Revocation
                The Water and Sewerage Services Fees Determination No. 1 of 2005 is revoked.
4              Definitions
                In this Determination:
GST has the same meaning as in A New Tax System (Goods and Services Tax) Act 1999.
sewerage availability fee means the price charged to have sewerage services made available.
sewerage usage means 90% of the total number of kilolitres of water used.
sewerage usage fee means the price charged for sewerage usage.
water availability fee means the price charged to have water made available.
water usage fee means the price charged for the total number of kilolitres of water used.
5              Fees for water services
         (1)   The annual water availability fee for a connection size mentioned in Schedule 1 is the amount mentioned in Schedule 1 for the connection size.
         (2)   The water usage fee is $0.95 per kilolitre.
6              Fees for sewerage services
         (1)   The annual sewerage availability fee for a connection size mentioned in Schedule 2 is the amount mentioned in Schedule 2 for the connection size.
         (2)   The sewerage usage fee is $0.85 per kilolitre.
7              Multiple water connections
                A water availability fee and a sewerage availability fee are payable for each water meter service connection.
8              GST
                GST does not apply to water and sewerage fees.
9              Invoices and period for payment
         (1)   A single invoice for water and sewerage fees will be issued quarterly.
         (2)   The due date for payment of the fees is the date shown as the due date for payment on the invoice issued to the person liable to pay the fees.
