Amendment - List of Specimens Taken to be Suitable for Live Import – s.303EC
 
I, PETER ROBERT GARRETT, Minister for the Environment, Heritage and the Arts, under paragraph 303EC(1)(b) of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (the Act), delete the following item in Part 1 of the list of specimens taken to be suitable for live import established under s.303EB of the Act (the list):

and under paragraph 303EC(1)(a) of the Act include the following item in Part 1 of the list, under the heading “Vertebrate Animals, Mammals (Mammalia)” in the appropriate alphabetical position:

Felis catus, excluding any specimen of Felis catus derived from cross breeding with:
(a)    a Felis serval or
(b)   a Savannah Cat (Felis catus x Felis serval). 
Note: To avoid doubt, (a) and (b) exclude from the definition of Felis catus any specimen with any genetic material derived from Felis serval.
Domestic Cat

 
This instrument commences on the date it is registered on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments.
