(a) I, GLENN HURRY, delegate of the Australian Fisheries Management Authority, make this order under subsection 43(1)(a)(ii) of the Fisheries Management Act 1991.

1 Name of Order
This Order is the Bass Strait Central Zone Scallop Fishery Management Plan Temporary Order 2010.
2 Commencement and period of application
This Order commences on the day it is registered and applies for a period of 6 months.
3 Order applies to Bass Strait Central Zone Scallop Fishery Management Plan 2002
For section 43 of the Fisheries Management Act 1991, the Bass Strait Central Zone Scallop Fishery Management Plan 2002 is to be applied as if amended by the items in Schedule 1.

[1] Section 3, definition of fishing season

fishing season means, for a fishing year:
(a) if a direction has been given closing the fishery for a period less than the whole year – the period the fishery is not closed; or
(b) if no such direction has been given for that year – the period from
1 April to 31 December, inclusive, in that year.
