Determination 2010/01:
Remuneration and Allowances for Holders of Public Office
 
(i)        Pursuant to subsections 7(3), 7(4) and 7(4B) of the Remuneration Tribunal Act 1973, the Remuneration Tribunal has inquired into the remuneration and allowances to be paid to holders of public office, and other matters significantly related thereto, and determines as set out below.
 
(ii)        This Determination takes effect on and from the day following the day it is registered in the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments unless otherwise specified.
 
PART 1 – PART-TIME OFFICES
 
1.1       In this part, Determination Number 14 of 2009 (as amended) is referred to as the Principal Determination.
 
1.2         Table A1A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the entry for the “Quarantine & Exports Advisory Council”.
 
         
PART 2 – FULL-TIME OFFICES
 
2.1       In this part, Determination Number 18 of 2009 (as amended) is referred to as the Principal Determination.
 
2.2         Table 2A of Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by replacing “$13,440” with “$18,200” in column 4 of the entry for “Deputy Principal Member, RRT”.
 
2.3         Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the wording in clause “2.2.5” and replacing it with the following words: “An office holder who holds dual appointments as Deputy Principal Member of the RRT and of the MRT will be entitled to the remuneration determined for one of those offices, including the additional Total Remuneration figure in Column 4.  Of the Column 4 figure, $13,300 will count towards salary for superannuation.” 
 
2.4       Table 2A of Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting the following entry after the entry for “Deputy Principal Member, RRT”:

2.5       Tables 3A and 3B of Part 3 of the Principal Determination are amended by deleting    the entries for Mr T Calma, ATSI Social Justice Commissioner.
 
2.6       Table 3A of Part 3 of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting the following entry after the entry for “Mr P Watson”:

3.1         In this part, Determination Number 16 of 2006 (as amended) is referred to as the     Principal Determination.
 
3.2         The Principal Determination is revoked.
