Determination 2011/13:
Remuneration and Allowances for Holders of Public Office
 
(i)        Pursuant to subsections 7(3) and 7(4) of the Remuneration Tribunal Act 1973, the Remuneration Tribunal has inquired into the remuneration and allowances to be paid to holders of public office, and other matters significantly related thereto, and determines as set out below.
 
(ii)        This Determination takes effect on and from the day following the day it is registered in the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments unless otherwise specified.
 
PART 1 – FULL-TIME OFFICES
 
1.1       In this part, Determination Number 8 of 2011 is referred to as the Principal Determination.
 
1.2         Table 2A of Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting the following entry after the entry for “General Manager, Fair Work Australia“:

2.7         From 30 March 2011 until 30 June 2011 a member of the Review of the Distribution of the Goods and Services Tax will receive $65,000 per annum (pro-rata for part of a financial year).  From 1 July 2011 the fees in Table A1A apply.
 
2.8         Clauses 2.6 and 2.7 take effect on and from 1 July 2011.
 
2.9         Table A1A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting the following entries after the entry for “Australian Government Reconstruction Inspectorate”:

2.10      From 10 June 2011 until 30 June 2011, subject to Part 2 of the Principal Determination, the Chairs of the Ministerial Advisory Council on Regional Australia and the Regional Development Australia Fund Advisory Panel will receive $1027 per day. The Members of these bodies will receive $847 per day.  From 1 July 2011 the fees in Table A1A apply.
 
2.11     Clause 2.9 and 2.10 take effect on and from 1 July 2011.
 
2.12     Clause A8 of the Additional Clauses to Table A1A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by replacing the current wording with the following:
 
            “A8. Various: “The Chair is entitled to Tier 1 travel arrangements. Members/Directors are entitled to Tier 2 travel arrangements.”
 
2.13     Table A1A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting the following entry after the entry for “Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC)”:

2.14     The Principal Determination is amended by inserting Clause A42 after Clause A41 of the Additional Clauses to Table A1A: “A42. Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation (CSC): The Chair will receive an additional loading of $15,620 until 30 June 2012. The Director will receive $58,980 per annum and an additional loading of $7,810 until 30 June 2012.”
 
2.15     Clauses 2.13 and 2.14 take effect on and from 1 July 2011.
 
2.16     Table A1A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the current entry for ”Australian Solar Institute – Chair/Director” and replacing it with the following entry and placing it after the entry for “Military Superannuation and Benefits Scheme – Board of Trustees”:

2.17      The Principal Determination is amended by inserting Clause A43 after Clause A42 of the Additional Clauses to Table A1A: “A43.  Australian Solar Institute (ASI): A director who is chair of the Audit and Risk Committee will receive an additional $5,000 per annum. A member who is a member of the Audit and Risk Committee will receive an additional $2,000 per annum.
 
2.18     Clauses 2.16 and 2.17 take effect on and from 1 July 2011.
 
2.19     Schedule B of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting the following entry after the heading “B1.1 Professional Committees”:
 
·         Advisory Committee for Biologicals
 
2.20     Clause 2.19 takes effect on and from 1 July 2011.
