I, TANYA PLIBERSEK, Minister for Human Services, give this Direction under paragraph 8(1)(c) of the Commonwealth Services Delivery Agency Act 1997.

1                            Name of Direction
                This Direction is the Commonwealth Services Delivery Agency (Functions of Chief Executive Officer) Direction 2011 (No. 2).
2                            Commencement
                This Direction commences on the day it is registered.
3                            Definitions
                In this Direction:
Act means the Commonwealth Services Delivery Agency Act 1997.
Chief Executive Officer has the meaning given in the Commonwealth Services Delivery Agency Act 1997.
Medicare Australia means the agency established by subsection 4(1) of the Medicare Australia Act 1973.
Medicare Australia CEO has the same meaning as the expression Chief Executive Officer in the Medicare Australia Act 1973.
4.             Direction to perform function
                Under paragraph 8(1)(c) of the Act, the Chief Executive Officer is directed to perform the function of providing assistance to the Medicare Australia CEO, including in relation to the management of Medicare Australia.
