1.1.                                    Name of Legislative Instrument
1.1.1.                              This instrument is the Vehicle Standard (Australian Design Rule 42/04 – General Safety Requirements) 2005 Amendment 2.
1.2.                                    Commencement
1.2.1.                              This instrument commences on the day after it is registered.
2.                                          amendment of vehicle standard
2.1.                                    The changes specified in Schedule 1 amend Vehicle Standard (Australian Design Rule 42/04 – General Safety Requirements) 2005.
 
 
Schedule 1
[1]               Clause 7.2.1 amend to read “Actuation of the 'Engine start control' shall not cause the vehicle to move”  
[2]               Clause 15 amend to read
“.....conform to SAA, SAE, BS, JIS, DIN, ISO or ECE Standards, or FMVSS 106 Brake Hoses, specified for ......”
[3]               Clause 19.3.2.1.1.5 amend to read “Remote opening/closing is allowable through continuous operation of a remote actuation device provided that the remote actuation device must be incapable of opening/closing  the power window from a distance of more than 11 m from the vehicle”
[4]               Clause 19.3.2.6.4 amend to read “…..equivalent to the technical requirements of clause 19.3…..”
