Remuneration and Allowances for Holders of Public Office and Specified Statutory Offices
 
(i)              Pursuant to subsections 7(3) and 7(4) of the Remuneration Tribunal Act 1973, the Remuneration Tribunal has inquired into the remuneration and allowances to be paid to certain holders of public office, and other matters significantly related thereto, and determines as set out below.
 
(ii)        This Determination takes effect on and from the day following the day it is registered in the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments unless otherwise specified.
 
PART 1 – FULL-TIME OFFICES
 
1.1       In this part, Determination Number 12 of 2012 (as amended) is referred to as the Principal Determination.
 
1.2         Table 2A of Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting “2.2.15” from Column 5 of the entry for “Chief Commissioner & Chief Executive Officer, Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA).”
 
1.3         Table 2A of Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting “2.2.21” from Column 5 of the entry for “Commonwealth Financial Officer for Norfolk Island.”
 
1.4       Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting Clauses 2.2.15 and 2.2.21.
 
1.5         Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by replacing the wording in Clause 2.2.26 with the following, “Tuition Protection Service: Mr Vipan Mahajan will receive a loading of $22,348 in addition to Total Remuneration, and a Base Salary of $182,842 while he holds appointment to the office of Director.”
 
1.6       Clause 1.5 takes effect on and from 1 July 2012.
 
1.7         Table 2A of Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by replacing the current entry for the “Chief Executive Officer, Australian Sports Anti Doping Authority (ASADA)” with the following entry:

1.8         Clause 1.7 takes effect on and from 1 July 2012
 
1.9       Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by replacing the wording in Clause 2.2.1 with the following, “Fair Work Building Industry Inspectorate, Director: The Director will receive an additional loading as shown in Column 4 of Table 2A from 1 July 2012 until 31 May 2013.  Base salary for superannuation purposes will be $266,040 until 31 May 2013.”
 
1.10      Table 2A of Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by replacing the current entry for the “Chief Executive Officer, Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA)” with the following entry and placing it after the entry for Chief Executive officer, Australian Crime Commission:

1.11     Clause 1.10 takes effect on and from 23 October 2012
 
PART 2 – PART-TIME OFFICES
2.1         In this part, Determination Number 13 of 2012 (as amended) is referred to as the Principal Determination.
 
2.2       Table A1A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the entry “Financial Reporting Panel”.
 
2.3       The Principal Determination is amended by deleting Clause A23 of the Additional Clauses to Table A1A of Schedule A.
 
2.4         Table A1A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the entry for “ARIA Reconsideration Advisory Committee” and replacing it with the following entry:

2.5       Clause 2.4 takes effect on and from 1 July 2012.
 
2.6       Table A1A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by replacing “54,020 a” from Column 2 of the entry for Australian Organ and Tissue Donation and Transplantation Authority Advisory Council” with “797 d”.
 
2.7       Clause 2.6 takes effect on and from 23 August 2012.
 
2.8         Table A1A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the entry for “Independent Hospital Pricing Authority Clinical Advisory Committee (IHPA CAC).”
 
2.9         The Principal Determination is amended by deleting Clause A46 of the Additional Clauses to Table A1A of Schedule A.
 
2.10      Schedule B of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting the following entry under Clause B1.1 Professional Committees after the entry for “Australian Therapeutic Goods Advisory Committee”: “Independent Hospital Pricing Authority Clinical Advisory Committee.”
 
2.11     Clauses 2.8 to 2.10 take effect on and from 1 October 2012.
 
PART 3 – SPECIFIED STATUTORY OFFICES
3.1         In this part, Determination Number 16 of 2012 is referred to as the Principal Determination.
 
3.2         Part 2 of the Determination is amended by inserting Clause 2.6 after Clause 2.5 as follows: “Chief of the Defence Force: The employer may approve housing assistance in accordance with agency policy and practices.”
 
3.3         Clause 3.2 takes effect on and from 1 July 2012.
