Social Security (Administration) Act 1999
I, JENNY MACKLIN, Minister for Families, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs and Minister for Disability Reform, acting under subsections 123UCA(3) and 123UGB(2) of the Social Security (Administration) Act 1999 and on behalf of the Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations and the Minister for Tertiary Education, Skills, Science and Research, make this Specification.

1              Name of Specification
                This Specification is the Social Security (Administration) (Vulnerable income management areas) Specification 2012.
2              Commencement
                This Specification commences on 27 July 2012.
3              Class of exempt welfare payment recipients - revocation
The Social Security (Administration) (Classes of Exempt Welfare Payment Recipients) Specification 2012 is revoked.
4              Definition
                In this Specification:
                Act means the Social Security (Administration) Act 1999.
5              Specified vulnerable income management areas - New South Wales
(1)        Each area in Schedule 1 to this Specification is specified for the purposes of paragraph 123UCA(1)(b) of the Act.
(2)        In Schedule 1, an area has the same meaning as in the Local Government Act 1993 (NSW).
6              Specified vulnerable income management areas - Queensland
(1)        Each local government area in Schedule 2 to this Specification is specified for the purposes of paragraph 123UCA(1)(b) of the Act.
(2)        In Schedule 2, a local government area has the same meaning as in the Local Government Act 2009 (QLD).
7              Specified vulnerable income management areas – South Australia
(1)        Each area of a council in Schedule 3 to this Specification is specified for the purposes of paragraph 123UCA(1)(b) of the Act.
(2)        In Schedule 3, an area of a council has the same meaning as in the Local Government Act 1999 (SA).
8              Specified vulnerable income management areas - Victoria
(1)        Each municipal district in Schedule 4 to this Specification is specified for the purposes of paragraph 123UCA(1)(b) of the Act.
(2)        In Schedule 4, a municipal district has the same meaning as in the Local Government Act 1989 (VIC).
 
9              Specified vulnerable income management area – Northern Territory
The Northern Territory is specified for the purposes of paragraph 123UCA(1)(b) of the Act.
