I, TONY BURKE, Minister for Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities, pursuant to section 517 of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (Cth), hereby determine that the following distinct population of biological entities is a species for the purposes of that Act:
 
 
Phascolarctos cinereus (combined populations of Queensland, New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory)
