I, WARREN SNOWDON, Minister for Defence Science and Personnel, make this Determination under paragraph 6(1)(b) of the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004.

1              Name of Determination
This Determination is the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation   (Non-warlike Service) Determination 2012 (No. 2).
2              Commencement
This Determination commences on the day after it is registered.
3              Revocation
The Military Rehabilitation and Compensation (Non-warlike Service) Determination 2012/1 is revoked. 
4.             Definition
In this Determination:
ADF means the Australian Defence Force.
NATO means the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
Section 4
 
5.             Non-warlike service
For paragraph 6(1)(b) of the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004, service in an operation mentioned in Schedule 1 is non-warlike service if the service:
(a)       is in an area of operation mentioned in Schedule 1; and
(b)      occurs:
i.         during a period mentioned in Schedule 1, or
ii.       on and from the start date mentioned in Schedule 1.
