Relay 11QG Relocation & Test
6/2012

Applicability:
A319, A320 and A321 aeroplanes, all models and serial numbers without Airbus Industrie modification 26065 incorporated during production or Airbus Industrie Service Bulletin (SB) A320-24-1092, Revision 4, dated 20 June 2002 embodied.

1.    Unless already accomplished in accordance with AD/A320/102, relocate the relay 11QG from relay box 103VU to the shelf 95VU in accordance with the instructions given in SB A320-24-1092 Revision 4.
2.    Unless already accomplished in accordance with AD/A320/102, for aircraft on which SB A320-24-1092 original issue or Revision 1 or Revision 2 have been received, verify that:

Compliance:
For Requirements 1 and 2 - before 15 May 2000, or within 500 hours time in service after 9 September 1999 or before further flight.
For Requirement 3 - Within 600 flight hours from the original effective date of this AD (3 October 2002).

This Amendment becomes effective on 20 March 2012.

Background:
AD/A320/102 was based on DGAC AD 1999-263-134(B), mandating the embodiment of Service Bulletin (SB) A320-24-1092 Revision 3.  The SB calls for the relocation of the engine/master 1 relay 11QG to avoid any risk of simultaneous cut-off of the fuel supply to both engines by the low pressure shut-off valves by water ingress in relay box 103VU.  Revision 3 replaced Revisions 1 and 2 which contained erroneous instructions.

On 20 July 2002, DGAC AD 1999-263-134(B) was cancelled and replaced with DGAC AC 2002-365(B) which mandates the adherence to SB A320-24-1092 Revision 4.  It requires additional testing following the relay relocation.
Amendment 1 is issued to reflect the cancellation of DGAC AD 1999-263-134(B) and release of DGAC AC 2002-365(B) which mandates SB A320-24-1092 Revision 4.
This AD replaces AD/A320/102 which is cancelled.  It incorporates the initial requirements of DGAC AD 1999-263-134(B).
