Quarantine Amendment Proclamation 2013 (No. 2)
I, Quentin Bryce AC CVO, Governor‑General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Proclamation under the Quarantine Act 1908.

1  Name of Proclamation
                   This Proclamation may be cited as the Quarantine Amendment Proclamation 2013 (No. 2).
2  Commencement
                   This Proclamation commences on the day after it is registered.
3  Authority
                   This Proclamation is made under the Quarantine Act 1908.
4  Schedule(s)
                   Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.
Schedule 1—Amendments
  
Quarantine Proclamation 1998
1  Section 38 (table item 24)
Omit “oyster shell”, substitute “oyster shells that are not part of a manufactured article”.
2  Section 38 (after table item 24)
Insert:
 
24A
Manufactured article containing oyster shells, if free of insects, soil and other debris
3  Section 38 (table item 38)
Repeal the item, substitute:

Meat jerky (other than from avian meat) or biltong (other than from avian meat), if the product is:
(a) shelf stable; and
(b) imported in an amount up to 1 kilogram; and
(c) manufactured in a country on the DAFF FMD Approved Country List; and
(d) for the personal consumption of the person wishing to import the product

4  Subsection 41(1) (table item 3)
Omit “, including mooncakes,”.
5  Subsection 41(2) (at the end of the table)
Add:

(a) include egg; and
(b) do not include meat; and
(c) are shelf stable; and
(d) are for the personal consumption of the person wishing to import the product
