I, MARK BUTLER, Minister for Mental Health and Ageing, make this Determination under section 52-1 of the Aged Care Act 1997.

1              Name of Determination
                This Determination is the Aged Care (Amount of Flexible Care Subsidy – Extended Aged Care at Home – Dementia) Determination 2013 (No. 1).
2              Commencement
                This Determination commences on 1 July 2013.
3              Revocation
                The Aged Care (Amount of Flexible Care Subsidy — Extended Aged Care at Home – Dementia) Determination 2012 (No. 1) made by the Minister on 22 June 2012, also known as F2012L01420, is revoked.
4              Definitions
                In this Determination:
Act means the Aged Care Act 1997.
ARIA score, in relation to a location, means the score given to that location under the document titled ‘Viability Funding — ARIA scores for locations as at 30 July 1999’, published by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing.
enteral feeding supplement means the enteral feeding supplement referred to in section 44-14 of the Act.
oxygen supplement means the oxygen supplement referred to in section 44-13 of the Act.
5              Flexible Care Subsidy
                The amount of flexible care subsidy payable in respect of a day for a care recipient receiving flexible care in the form of extended aged care at home –  dementia is the sum of the following amounts:
(a)    the basic subsidy amount $139.92;
(b)   the amount (if any) equal to the oxygen supplement that would be payable in respect of the care recipient for that day if the care recipient was receiving residential care;
(c)    the amount (if any) equal to the enteral feeding supplement that would be payable in respect of the care recipient for that day if the care recipient was receiving residential care; and
(d)   the amount in column 3 of the following table that corresponds to the ARIA score in column 2 for the geographical location at which the care recipient resides.
