1  Name of regulation
                         This regulation is the Administrative Appeals Tribunal Amendment (Fees) Regulation 2013.
2  Commencement
                   Each provision of this regulation specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

                         This regulation is made under the Administrative Appeals Tribunal Act 1975.
4  Schedule(s)
                   Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.
Schedule 1—Amendments commencing on the commencement of Schedule 5 to the Access to Justice (Federal Jurisdiction) Amendment Act 2012

1  Subregulation 19(4)
Repeal the subregulation.
2  After subregulation 19(6A)
Insert:
          (6B)  The fee for lodging an application is payable when the application is lodged.
          (6C)  If the fee is not paid at that time, the Tribunal is not required to deal with the application unless, and until, the fee is paid.
          (6D)  If the fee is not paid within 6 weeks after an application is lodged, the Tribunal may dismiss the application under section 69C of the Act.
3  Subregulation 19AA(3)
Repeal the subregulation.
4  After subregulation 19AA(6B)
Insert:
          (6C)  The fee for lodging an application is payable when the application is lodged.
          (6D)  If the fee is not paid at that time, the Tribunal is not required to deal with the application unless, and until, the fee is paid.
          (6E)  If the fee is not paid within 6 weeks after an application is lodged, the Tribunal may dismiss the application under section 69C of the Act.
