Determination 2013/05:
Remuneration and Allowances for Holders of Public Office including Judicial and Related Offices
(i)              Pursuant to subsections 7(3) and 7(4) of the Remuneration Tribunal Act 1973, the Remuneration Tribunal has inquired into the remuneration and allowances to be paid to certain holders of public office, and other matters significantly related thereto, and determines as set out below.
(ii)        This Determination takes effect on and from the day following the day it is registered in the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments unless otherwise specified.
PART 1 – PART-TIME OFFICES
1.1         In this part, Determination Number 13 of 2012 (as amended) is referred to as the Principal Determination.
1.2       Table A1A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting “A34” from Column 4 of the entry for “Social Security Appeals Tribunal (SSAT) Member”.
1.3         Table A1A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the entry “Australian Solar Institute – Chair/Director”.
1.4       The Principal Determination is amended by deleting Clauses A34 and A42 of the Additional Clauses to Table A1A of Schedule A.
1.5         Table A1A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting the following entry after the entry for “Prime Minister’s Science, Engineering and Innovation Council”:

1.6         Clause 1.5 takes effect on and from 1 January 2013.
1.7         Clause A23 of the Additional Clauses to Table A1A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by including the following sentence at the end of the clause “In lieu of any other determined provisions, the Hon Andrew Fraser will be paid $31,405 per annum while he fills the office of Director, IMT.”
1.8         Table C1A of Schedule C of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting        the following entry after the entry for “Wheat Exports Australia”:

1.11      The Principal Determination is amended by inserting Clause A34 of the Additional Clauses to Table A1A as follows “A34 National Disability Insurance Scheme Launch Transition Agency: The Chair will receive an additional loading of $20,000 per annum. A Member will receive an additional loading of $10,000 per annum.  The additional loadings will cease at close of business on 30 June 2016. A Member who is appointed as the Audit Committee Chair will receive an additional $14,700 per annum.  A Member who is appointed as a Member of the Audit Committee will receive an additional $7,350 per annum. The Board Chair is not eligible for additional fees, should that office holder be appointed to the Audit Committee.”
1.12     Table A1A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting the   following entry after the entry for “Oil Stewardship Advisory Council”:

PART 2 – FULL-TIME OFFICES
2.1         In this part, Determination Number 24 of 2012 (as amended) is referred to as the Principal Determination.
2.2         Table 3A of Part 3 of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the entry for Mr Ivor Frischknecht, Chief Executive Officer, Australian Renewable Energy Agency.
2.3         Table 3B of Part 3 of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the entry for Mr Ivor Frischknecht, Chief Executive Officer, Australian Renewable Energy Agency.
2.4         Table 2A of Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the entry for “Assistant Senior Member, SSAT”.
2.5         Clause 2.2.12 in Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the words “from 1 January 2013 until 9 May 2013” and replacing them with the words “until 9 May 2014”.
2.6         Table 2A of Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the entry for “Executive Director, Australian Solar Institute”.
2.7         Table 2A of Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by replacing the current entry for the “Principal Member, Social Security Appeals Tribunal (SSAT)” with the following entry and placing it after the entry for “Freedom of Information Commissioner”:

PART 3 – JUDICIAL AND RELATED OFFICES
3.1       In this part, Determination Number 9 of 2012 (as amended) is referred to as the Principal Determination.
3.2         Part 1 of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting Clause 1.4.
3.3         Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by replacing references to “Federal Magistrates” with “Judges of the Federal Circuit Court” and replacing references to “Federal Magistrate” with “Federal Circuit Court Judge”.
3.4         Part 4 of the Principal Determination is amended by replacing references in Clauses 4.1, 4.5 and 4.7 to “Federal Magistrates” with “Judges of the Federal Circuit Court”; “Federal Magistrate” with “Federal Circuit Court Judge”; and “Chief Federal Magistrate” with “Chief Judge”.
3.5         Part 4 of the Principal Determination is amended by replacing the reference in Clause 4.2 to “Chief Federal Magistrate” with “Chief Judge of the Federal Circuit Court of Australia”.
3.6         Tables 1 and 3 of the Principal Determination are amended by replacing references to “Federal Magistrates Court” with “Federal Circuit Court of Australia”; “Chief Federal Magistrate” with “Chief Judge”; and “Federal Magistrate” with “Judge”.
