I, Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO, Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following regulation under the Television Licence Fees Act 1964.

1  Name of regulation
                   This regulation is the Television Licence Fees Amendment Regulation 2013 (No. 1).
2  Commencement
                   This regulation commences on the day after it is registered.
3  Authority
                   This regulation is made under the Television Licence Fees Act 1964.
4  Schedule(s)
                   Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.
Schedule 1—Amendments
  
Television Licence Fees Regulations 1990
1  Regulation 20 (paragraph (b) of the definition of eligible licensee)
Repeal the paragraph, substitute:
                     (b)  allocated under section 38B of the Broadcasting Services Act 1992 during the period starting on 7 February 2010 and ending on 31 December 2012.
2  After subregulation 23(2)
Insert:
          (2A)  However, if the eligible licensee holds licence number SL1130146 then for that licence:
                     (a)  the deadline for claiming the licence fee rebate for the accounting period ending in 2012 is 30 days after the commencement of this subregulation; and
                     (b)  the rebate may be claimed by the licensee notifying the ACMA of its intention to claim the rebate; and
                     (c)  the rebate is payable by the ACMA after all outstanding licence fees for the licence for that accounting period have been paid.
Note:          The licence referred to in subregulation 23(2A) was allocated to WIN Television Griffith for the Griffith and the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area TV1 licence area.
          (2B)  This subregulation and subregulation 23(2A) expires on 30 June 2013 as if the subregulations had been repealed by another legislative instrument.
