I, DOUG FAWNS, delegate of the Minister for Health, make these Rules under item 7 of the table in section 333-20 of the Private Health Insurance Act 2007.

Part 1        Preliminary
 
 
1.         Name of Rules
          These Rules are the Private Health Insurance (Registration) Amendment Rules 2013 (No. 2).
 
2.         Commencement
These Rules commence on the day after registration.
 
3.         Amendment of the Private Health Insurance (Registration) Rules 2009  (No. 2)
          The Schedule amends the Private Health Insurance (Registration) Rules 2009 (No. 2).
 
 
Schedule – Amendments
 
[1]     6. Description of groups for existing restricted access insurers
        
        At item 6(e), delete:  
(e)                the siblings, grandchildren and parents of Principal Insureds are also taken to belong to the same Group as those Principal Insureds, except where the Principal Insured is insured by the following *restricted access insurers:
(i)                           ACA Health Benefits Fund; or
(ii)                         Police Health Limited; or
(iii)                       Reserve Bank Health Society Limited;
 
And insert:
(e)                the siblings, grandchildren and parents of Principal Insureds are also taken to belong to the same Group as those Principal Insureds, except where the Principal Insured is insured by the following *restricted access insurers:
 (i)                        Police Health Limited; or
(ii)                       Reserve Bank Health Society Limited;

At item 6(g), delete:
(g)                   the partners and *dependent children of persons who are the siblings of Principal Insureds are also taken to belong to the same Group as those Principal Insureds, except where the Principal Insured is insured by the following *restricted access insurers:
(i)                           ACA Health Benefits Fund; or
(ii)                         Police Health Limited; or
(iii)                       Reserve Bank Health Society Limited; 
 
And insert:
(g)                   the partners and *dependent children of persons who are the siblings of Principal Insureds are also taken to belong to the same Group as those Principal Insureds, except where the Principal Insured is insured by the following *restricted access insurers:
 (i)                        Police Health Limited; or
(ii)                       Reserve Bank Health Society Limited;
