I, DOUG FAWNS, delegate of the Minister for Health, make these Rules under item 3 of the table in section 333-20 of the Private Health Insurance Act 2007.

Part 1          Preliminary
1.                       Name of Rules
These Rules are the Private Health Insurance (Complying Product) Amendment Rules 2013 (No. 1).
2.                       Commencement
These Rules commence on:
(a)                    20 March 2013; or
(b)                   if registered after 20 March 2013, the day after registration.
3.                       Amendment of the Private Health Insurance (Complying Product) Rules 2010 (No. 2)
The Schedule amends the Private Health Insurance (Complying Product) Rules 2010 (No. 2) as amended.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Schedule
[1]     Part 2, Paragraph 8A(3)(a)
 
              Delete subparagraph 8A(3)(a)(ii) and substitute:
 
(ii)               New South Wales - $53.55;
 
              Delete subparagraphs 8A(3)(a)(iv) – 8A(3)(a)(vii), substitute:
 
(iv)       Queensland - $53.55;
(v)               South Australia - $53.55;
(vi)             Tasmania - $53.55;
(vii)           Victoria - $53.55.

Delete paragraph 8A(3)(b), substitute:
 
(b) in relation to a nursing-home type patient at a private hospital, $53.55.
